Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Goatball collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Goatball mobile app and related services.

Information we collect

We collect information needed to run a social sports app, including:

• Account details such as name, username, email, phone number, profile photo, nationality code, and language preference.
• Game and league activity such as games created, invitations, player lists, results, rankings, venues, and availability.
• Messages and user content such as chat text, images, reactions, group names, and reports you submit.
• Contacts you choose to import so you can add or invite players.
• Location information you provide or allow the app to use for venues, nearby play, and home-area matching.
• Device and app information such as push-notification tokens, platform, app version, diagnostics, and security events.

How we use information

We use information to provide and improve the service, including to:

• Create and manage accounts, player profiles, games, leagues, and contacts.
• Send invitations, messages, notifications, and safety communications.
• Calculate rankings, game history, and league results.
• Prevent abuse, investigate reports, enforce rules, and protect users.
• Debug reliability issues, secure the service, and satisfy legal obligations.

Sharing

Goatball shares profile, game, league, and message information with other users as needed for the social features you use. We use service providers, including Firebase and Google Cloud, to host, secure, analyze, and deliver the service. We do not sell personal information.

Retention and deletion

We keep information while your account is active and as needed for safety, fraud prevention, legal obligations, backups, and legitimate service records. You can request account deletion through the app or through the public deletion page.

Some records may be retained in de-identified, aggregated, or legally required form, and some content visible to other users may be replaced with a deletion marker rather than removed from shared history.

Your choices

• You can update many profile and privacy settings in the app.
• You can control whether others may add you to group chats.
• You can block users and report objectionable content from supported app surfaces.
• You can request account deletion at goatball.app/delete-account.
